Christian wollf
German philosopher, mathematician, and scientist Christian Freiherr von Wolff was born Jan. 24, 1679, in Breslau, Silesia. He wrote numerous works in theology, psychology, botany, and physics but is best known as a leading spokesman of German rationalism. His series of essays, all beginning under the title Rational Ideas, covered many subjects and expounded Leibniz's theories in popular form.
Anna Freud
Anna Freud was born December 3, 1895, in Vienna, Austria. In 1938 she moved to England to escape Nazi rule. During WWII she studied the development of homeless children. She founded her own course in child psychoanalysis in 1947 and her own clinic in 1952. Throughout the remainder of her life, she continued to write important papers in her field. She died October 9, 1982, in London, England.
